Blood Worm: Nomadic Bodies, Conscious Experience and Embodiment Practice
Supported by the Octone Foundation, Blood Worm is a one-year process-oriented curatorial project initiated by curator Tang Yifei. Officially launched in March 2026 at the Asia Art Archive (Hong Kong), the project features collaborative participation from three artists: Bo Choy, Chan Ting and Cici Wu.
Drawing on the "blood worm" in shamanic practices as its core metaphor and methodological framework, the project explores how artists integrate individual perception and historical and cultural genes to translate, reconstruct and renegotiate lived experience. It aims to establish a flexible narrative standpoint and generative creative discourse that traverses multi-layered contextual dimensions. Through cross-regional meetings, field investigations and diverse public artistic practices, the project builds a continuously evolving, open and symbiotic long-term support network for artistic research and creation.
